BIC Mechanical Pencil
I found my calling the day...
I am a father, to the most precious, gorgeous little girl. Her name is Mylie. Mylie Marlaine. I am a United States Marine. |
I dont consider myself to be a legitimate "artist". I am so new to it all, and have a miniscule amount of experience in such a narrow spectrum of mediums, compared to the extraordinary talent I've witnessed on DA. But if I were to put an experience label on myself, I would describe myself as a beginner.
I also love to write. I'm currently writing a graphic novel that contains my artwork, as well as some talented artists that have given me permission to use their work in my book. It should be finished by Fall 2013, and hopefully published and on the shelves by the beginning of 2014.
My main three passions in life are my daughter, art, and writing, in that order.
I love learning, almost as much as I love life itself. If I'm not studying something, then I am coming to my own understanding of life. Where there is a question, there is always an answer. I will always seek a deeper answer, a scientific truth, or a theoretical ideal created from the fathoms of my mind.
I care for all people, even if I am treated unfairly, every human being deserves respect, acknowledgement, and compassion, as long as they abide by the simple rule of: "Do unto others, as you would have them do unto you." Its simple, be nice...even if you dont receive the same treatment in return. All good things come to those who wait patiently and positively.
I prefer criticism rather than compliments...but if one has a complimentary piece of criticism, then they have the proper understanding in which I am vying for.
I enjoy all subjects. I enjoy expanding my knowledge & skills; there is no limit to the knowledge you are privileged to attain, to use for the betterment of all.
I recently began drawing. With Graphite & Charcoal in October of 2011. I began using Acrylics on canvas in August of 2012. And I began Spray Painting on March 27th, 2013.
Any advice or tips are welcome and would be greatly appreciated.
